Adam Fistival Wilfrid, 24
As our sole representative from East Malaysia, Adam hails from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. He is a Computer Science student at Universiti Malaya, and is also a human rights activist. A founder of Anak Muda Harapan Malaysia, a liberal youth organization that promotes freedom of speech and moderation, he currently serves as its Head of Cluster in Technology and Unity.
What made you interested in joining the National Unity Youth Fellowship?
"As the Head of Unity for Anak Muda Harapan Malaysia, I would like to immerse myself more deeply in understanding issues related to national unity. As an activist, I believe that all Malaysians are equal and that together, we can fight any form of oppression."
What do you hope to learn or achieve from your experience with the Fellowship?
"I hope to learn the real meaning of and the key to national unity from the grassroots perspective – not for myself, but for my beloved country Malaysia."
