What made you interested in joining the National Unity Youth Fellowship?
“I became interested in joining the Fellowship because I have always been passionate about pertinent issues involving the public and private life of Malaysians. I also believed that IDEAS, as the program organizer, is able to connect me with other Fellows to discuss a diverse range of topics and to bring grassroots issues to the fore.”
What do you hope to learn or achieve from your experience with the Fellowship?
“Despite being constantly reminded that we are an "open" society that welcomes different cultures and beliefs, there are increasing attacks on unity amongst Malaysians. Through the Fellowship, I want to take the opportunity to tap on others intellectually in rational and objective discourses, in the hope of laying the foundation for a moderate Malaysia in the near future.”
